Like. Shouldn’t there be an investigation or something? Or at the very least finger-pointing? What’s the point of even killing people off if it has no real impact on anything, you know?”

Finally watching John Adams, three years after finding Paul Giamatti and a Continental winter encampment on my way to class.
Jimmy Fallon’s “Slow Jam the News” seems a more fitting and contemporary way of making the news funny than Weekend Update or even Jon Stewart’s shtick. At least in this clip, there is no direct ironic challenge to recent events - no “what the hell?” or “really?” moment, but instead, a more subtle critique of the motives and passion on each side of the stimulus debate. You actually run the risk of learning something from this more intellectual style of satire.
