So it turns out that after 5 years of lamenting that my favorite scent of deodorant had disappeared, it was under my nose the whole time, rebranded in an incredibly successful but horribly unappealing (to me) way: They gave it a new, awesome name and a new awesome attitude – Swagger. In the webinar earlier this week, Britton Taylor explained that Old Spice “wanted a name with some cultural currency and attitude. ‘Swagger’ oozes confidence and is something that all guys want to possess.” I guess that’s a good thing?
